The first round of GRAMMY Award submissions opens in July followed by an array of Recording Academy deadlines. To cut through the confusion, here if the official timeline for submitting to the 2014-2015 Grammys.
Overview:
The 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast (CBS) will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015.
Eligibility Period is for recordings commercially released between October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014.
Members must be active in order to submit projects for GRAMMY consideration.
Dates and Deadlines:
July 1: Member Round 1 submissions open. (For releases from October 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014)
July 27: Member Round 1 submissions closes.
July 31: Last day to become a member and participate in online entry process.
August 13: Member Final Round submissions open. (For releases from July 1, 2014 to September 30, 2014)
August 27: Member Final Round submissions closes.
September 15: Last day to be approved as a voting member and receive the first round ballot. The Academy suggests new members apply two weeks before this date to allow time for its approval process. All members must be active to receive a first-round ballot.
November 15: The last day to join or renew membership and receive the final round ballot and have the opportunity to purchase GRAMMY Awards Telecast tickets. (Non-nominee tickets are not guaranteed. Membership only allows for the opportunity to buy, and they tend to sell out within minutes of going on sale.)
