John Temple on Silicon Valley’s Lessons for Journalists [Video]

Journalist John Temple is the former managing editor of digital operations at The Washington Post. He is recognized in the industry for both his editorial and business expertise. Under Temple’s leadership, the Rocky Mountain News won its first Pulitzer Prize.

For the past several months, Temple has been a senior fellow in the John S. Knight Journalism Fellowships program at Stanford. The program recognizes innovative journalism and provides resources to 20 people each year to “pursue and test their ideas for improving the quality of news and information reaching the public.”

Temple recently joined Knight Fellowships director Jim Bettinger on stage at the program’s Re-engineering Journalism event to talk about his experiences and give advice to journalists on what they can learn from Silicon Valley:
